Commissions
A commission by Alanna Peters is a unique process, infusing the client’s vision and Alanna’s artistic voice to create a truly one of a kind piece of art. This opportunity incorporates one-on-one collaboration, direct communication with the artist and regular photo updates of progress.
Styles and Subjects
Alanna works within her own artistic voice and style, but can incorporate elements of portraiture, landscape, still life or abstraction. Inspiration for commissions generally comes from previous works completed by Alanna, or inspired by the client's own photographs. All commissions will be painted with oil paints.
Pricing
Prices are around $3.70 per square inch.
IS THERE A DEPOSIT?
There is a 50% deposit to secure your commission. 25% deposit is refundable at any point of the commission process, and can either be canceled by Alanna or the client. 25% is non refundable to cover materials cost and initial work. The remaining half shall be paid upon completion of the painting. Alanna will send an invoice electronically, which can be paid with a credit card, Paypal and/or cash.
WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?
After the 50% deposit is received, the client is added to the commission wait list. Alanna works on commissions in the order they are received. Currently, the commission turnaround time is 3-6 months.
ARE COMMISSIONS FRAMED?
Commission are unframed. Frames can be ordered for an additional fee. Typically they are floater frames and come in black, white or natural wood. Framing quotes will be provided based on size needed and typically add 2 inches to the canvas size.
HOW MUCH WILL SHIPPING/DELIVERY COST?
Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the painting. For shipping within Canada and the United States, shipping is included for petite work. For small works (80 to 500 sq.in.) shipping typically ranges from $80-$400 For medium sized to large sized paintings (577 to 2304 sq. in.) shipping typically ranges from $550-$850. A shipping invoice will be sent once size, weight and destination are known. For paintings larger than 2,305 sq. in., please reach out to alannapetersart@gmail.com for a quote.

Alanna also offers free delivery or free studio pick up for collectors in the Metro Denver, USA and Metro Toronto, Canada area. Please contact me to set up a time.
