The Positive Portrait Project: One portrait at a time

I feel a need for some positive and good news in the world right now and I’m sure you probably do too.

I want to use my voice as an artist to highlight the good that exists around us and the good we still hope to see.

This positive portrait project is a way for me to highlight the beauty of our shared humanity one small portrait at a time.

I will be creating intimate mini portraits from candid images of real people. Each portrait will be a 5” × 7” oil on archival paper. I will be sharing the painting process on my YouTube and the faces and stories on my Instagram, allowing these positive moments to gently enter the world.

If you’d like to participate, please send:

• A candid photo of yourself. Head and shoulders preferred.

• Your first name

• Where you live in the world (address used only for mailing)

• A short quote sharing something good, meaningful or hopeful in your life, in the world we live or that you wish to see in the future.

My hope is that this small, human exchange will bring joy to all those who share in these hopeful stories.
